Crate Training 9wk old Puppy.?

My 9wk old mini dachshund puppy recently got introduced to the crate. She hated it when I first brought it to her attention, but I put a trail of treats into the crate and since then she has been going in on her own and laying down. I praise her and give her treats when she does go in and continually for a long period of time. She now goes in and the Vet told me to close to front to get her to like the crate. So today I did, she hasn't stopped whining and crying and chewing on the cage since I put her in there. I want to let her out so bad, first because she sounds horrible, and two because it seems so cruel. But she went in on her own terms I just closed the door. HELP WHAT DO I DO? Do I take her out or do I leave her in there and hopefully the whining and crying will subside? I don't want her to hate the crate because of all of this whining. I don't know what to do, they say let her whine, but it sounds horrible.

omg i have the perfect hairstyle but it's kinda hard to explain. Ok you basically curl your hair but with a different technique. You place the iron at the top of your scalp & wrap your hair around it the opposite way (kinda like Snooki on jersey shore if you've seen that). It leaves your hair perfectly beach wavy. & if you use good hairspray it will hold well. Also wrap your hair around the opposite way..like if the clip part is underneath, wrap your hair around the top 1st. I took the hard drive from my old mac laptop and put it in an external hard drive case. I managed to copy some files off it (onto my new mac) before getting an error msg and the case's icon disappearing from my desktop. Cant complete xp install?

ok well my hdd with windows 7 crashed so i got a new hdd. I initialized it and formatted to ntfs and its now online. i did this via sata docking station on a different pc. But anyways, when i put the xp disk in my pc, along with the hdd, windows setup cant find my hdd. But doing the same setup on a different pc, i can select my new hdd on the docking station and copy the install files to it, but when it gets to the point where you can restart it, it gives me a bsod with stop code 0x0000007b, so idk what to do. ive tried everything, any ideas? thanks

Okay, so I've been asking around here for gaming laptop advice quite a bit lately and... I'm getting kinda desperate. I like the idea of a nice medium shade of grey v-neck. White may also go well, but could also get too overwhelmingly light. Once upon a time in a small tightly packed village, there lived a fairly young brown haired lemur. He had been cut out of his pack as his looks were too abnormal for his tribe to handle. This Lemur was called Harry and had a long thick beetle like nose with furry eyes with a black like fur bib over his tummy. So far you may be thinking "he seems like a pretty normal lemur to me" however it wasn't this that made his stand out. It was his personality. Looks can mean a simple term as appearance but also can mean his "looks" to other leamers; eg not taking to him. Harry lived in his lemur made cabin with dark wooden chairs and his best possession were his musical instruments. He would sit there for hours everyday playing his piano or belting out lemur 80's hits while eating cucumber at the same time. As much as he praised and treasured there instruments, he knew there was something miss in his long pointless life. Crystal clear tears ran down his smooth fur, making a sweet squeaky sound of upset. Insects, Hedgehogs and even wild cats were aware of this sound but not any lemers which he deep down knew he missed. There was one he particularly missed; her name was Hoops, spaghetti hoops, She had affectionate curls dangling from her head with naturally shinny deep blue eyes, but it wasnt her "looks" which made Harry weep deeper onto his rug, it was her kindness, friendliness her and he acceptance and even extra emotion for Harry. They had met at their local animal information group. Harry walked in not thinking of anything but his next musical project to work on. He walked past groups of teen lemurs demonstrating steetdancing and applying lipstick at top speed. He glared at them and felt a little jealous as he had always fancied putting lipstick on...Maybe if I have dazzling lips they will be my "frr frriied friend" he said. 'Hey" shouted the team lemar member of the group. "We are starting any minute now! Grab you furry bumed feline friends and hop aboard in the hall!" This was Miss Apple. She was very over excited about everything and a bit annoying. Suddenly breaking the silence was a loud crows with smelly perfumes on-the teen group came in. Follwed by the eldeey lemeras greeting all th eyoungoes. Harry snorted trying to be cool. Nearly every seat was filled now, only two remained. Harry looked around about to burst into tears but then jumped and fell on the ground as he has just lad eyes on Hoops! He was nervous but attracted and decided to take the risk...He went over and said Hi, Hoops went "Helle..I am new here...You look now too...Harry liked what he said...The other lemars sneered in a cool way. Hoops didnt say anything else..just stated into Harry'y eyes..Harry done the same to Hoops and not long after he invited her to his lonly life house. They spoke about roadworks and how they didnt like Miss Apple. Harry performed his newly made love song for her and she hugged him in a warm and gentle way. One day he suggested they went into the forest to get some fruit. Hoops said yes.."sounds fun". Harry jumped up and said "Yippie!" then looked at her lemer tail and smiled. You should be able to press F1 to continue starting the computer. Something must have happened the previous time you tried to start it up. It's possible that there's some sort of intermittent hardware failure in the computer. If that's the case, it may refuse to start from time to time, and it may eventually get worse until it will never start at all. How to train a puppy?

I have an 8 week old female Golden Retriever puppy that is either very hyper or asleep. I tried to train her to sit and even tried calling her by her name. I looked up almost every way to train your dog to sit. My puppy is just not interested in the treats I give her. I tried giving her different types of treats and it all ended the same- I give her the treat when she does the trick right, and she doesn't eat it. I tried giving her a favorite toy, and even praising her, but I do not think the point gets across to her. I have no idea how to work and train her. Is she to young to start training? I"ve been using IOBit's Security 360 Pro successfully for a couple of years. The other day, when prompted to "update" it to their Malware Fighter, I downloaded the latter and installed it. Maplestory stops working?

My Maple Story hasn't been working but I don't really know what is causing it to not work since I last played before the Mechanics patch. My problem is that every time I would launch the game from the website, it would give me a message saying that Maple Story has stop working and would give me another message saying The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000096). I later tried the game launcher but it says the game has stop working and says that it couldn't locate the game installation path. When I launch these applications, nothing happens except for the error messages. The hack shield wouldn't appear. I checked the processes and it would show the maple story process and would show multiple of them, the more I launch them. I change the properties of the application by unchecking the compatibility mode and checking the privilege mode. I run them as administrator and it still doesn't work. I'm using Vista 32-bit.

How do you potty train a dog that doesn't seem to get it?

I stand out there for 20-30 minutes sometimes and the dog doesn't get it. She goes and sniffs like she wants to and then doesn't do anything. She'll come inside and pee an hour later. She peed once outside and I praise her but she seemed afraid. I caught her a few times going in the house and interrupted her and took her out and she refused to go. Brought her back in and she waited a while and went again. What is your opinion of this as a light gaming laptop?

That is actually an excellent mid-range gaming rig. That particular graphics card is a good one and can actually handle modern games like COD mw2 and Battlefield 2 at a resolution of 1360x768 (recommended settings). It can handle higher resolutions of course, but you might need to tweak it based on the game. Given the games that you mentioned, this graphics card would own on the highest possible settings. As for your hookup to the large monitor, running these games at 1920 * 1080p wouldn't be a problem and you likely will not experience lag. I don't think running it at higher resolutions would be recommended though, as the card is limited in it's capabilities. I actually have one it's predecesors, the GT330 m, which works perfect for my needs and is capable of running Crysis on medium to high settings. The other specs for this xps are solid and I think it's priced well. I'm not particularly a fan of Dell, (in fact I don't like them much), but I make an exception of their XPS line of gaming rigs. Go for it.

Can anyone help with Windows 95 in VirtualBox?

I would download an actual windows 95 cd image or iso, just google it and I'm sure you'll find one to download. I would then create a new virtual machine and select windows 95, I think there is an option to chose a cd iso to mount as you go through the wizard, if not, then after your done just mount the CD in the virtual drive in virtual box (under settings-->storage). Boot up the virtual machine and go through the setup process. After that it should all be installed and run pretty decently (if it doesn't, try increasing the maximum ram avaliable)

I have a 2 year old lab. (he actually just turned 2 yesterday!) anyway, he is going to be in a dog show in two weeks for 4-H. He's really smart and knows all of the commands. The problem is, he usually only responds if you have a treat and you are not aloud to use treats in the show. What are some tips on getting him to do what he needs to do? Suspending my license?

First off, I will say that I am willing to accept responsibility for some poor decisions I made. But I got a letter today summoning me for a hearing in which my license may get suspended. The rundown: 2 speeding tickets, a reckless driving, and a "failure to stay in a single lane". The speeding tickets are totally my fault. The reckless driving ticket I got for a terrible accident I got in in which I swerved off the road to avoid hitting other drivers. I was praised by the other drivers and by the judge I faced in court for it for taking all the impact myself. The failure to stay in a single lane one, the cop thought I was drunk and when he found I wasnt, he gave me this ticket which I thought was a bit unfair because I wasnt drunk and he was quite unpleasant about it. He even said "I think your drunk, but I'm gonna let you go with this.".......So by his account he essentially let me back on the highway when I was "drunk". Anyway...I have a few questions. 1, is there anyway I can keep my license considering the circumstances with my wreck and the swerving incidents? 2, how long do they typically suspend your license for? And 3, I recently turned 21 a month after my last speeding ticket....does this effect my point standing? I have heard it "resets" after a certain age but Im not sure on it. I live in Colorado if that means anything. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. And please no rude responses.

Why does my 7 year old say she hates herself?

My 7 year old daughter frequently says she hates herself and also says she doesn't care if she dies. She is a single child and is with me (and my fiance) during the week and with her dad and step-mom on the weekends. I feel she gets plenty of attention from everyone no matter whom she is with so I don't think she is saying this for attention. I am worried this could be early signs of depression. Her teacher this past year did notice she has a low self-esteem and I have been trying to praise her more often. It's almost like she does things she knows she shouldn't do (like toss the cat or throw toys in the house) but then says she is 'so very sorry' and is extremely hard on herself after wards. She has even put herself in time out a number of times over little things.... we don't even use time out at my house. She is a very emotional child (always has been) and I have tried sitting down and asking her if something is bothering her when she gets upset but she always says she doesn't know. Any advice on how to handle this? I have already talked to her pediatrician but that didn't get my anywhere. She has been seeing a counselor (monthly) since December but it doesn't seem to be helping much

Why don't you teach her the "Leave it" and "Look" commands. That way you can tell her to leave the thing that she would normally react to, and then when she "Look"s or makes eye contact you can reward her for that. It is better to reward her for looking to you than it is to reward just neutral behavior, she could be neutral b/c she's shut down rather than calm.

Stop dog pooping in house?

i don't know what to do. He's 11 months old, goes outside with the other dogs several times during the day and night. He see them go outside and not get punished, and I've seen him go outside too (I praised him a lot for that), but he still poops in the house. What's worse, when I go to punish him, I take him by the scruff of neck and hold him by poop and say NO NO NO... he turns and tries to bite me. I don't do any of this in anger. Can you paint on an absorbent canvas?

Tough call, its absorbant and paint has water in it to keep it workable. I think it's going to dry really fast on the canvas and it's not going to blend very well either. I'm not sure how layering is going to work on it. But you know, you should try it anyway. Who knows, it might come out really good and prove everything i just said wrong. If it does dry fast you can try spraying the paint with a water bottle. I'm not sure if oil paint or anything oil based will work on it. I still suggest you try it though. :)

I am only seventeen but I have a cousin who can act like your daughter sometimes and it is hard to take care of her sometimes. What I do to my cousin is I talk to her in a stern voice and make eye contact. The eye contact is the key it shows authority don't force her to look at you just say her name until she looks at you even if it takes about a hundred times before she does. I am one of the only one my cousin listens to and I never lay a hand on her, yell at her, etc. Don't spank your child because physical abuse like that doesn't help much you just have to have patience. ICQ webcam problems... only a black screen, no picture - help please!?

A friend and I both downloaded ICQ 7.5. When we connect to the video chat we both get a black screen, no video?? We have both updated direct x. Firewalls not blocking. Went to my friend's church yesterday I now regret it?

It was all going good, I joined in the singing, and bible reading and everything but after all that ended pretty much everyone turned hostile. I'm Buddhist. They wanted to convert me by saying Christianity is the only one true religion and all the other religions are man made, and that I'm wasting my time. They tried forcing me to get baptised and said I'll start speaking in tongues so that's my proof God exists. Well, I don't think they realise what Buddhism is really about. It's not a religion it's a way of life, same as Hinduism. I was highly offended when they started quoting some bible verses trying to "prove" every other religion is wrong and man made. My religion IS man made, not one Buddhist denies that, and I really don't see how that is a valid point. Anyway do all Christians believe in that? I have to admit Islam openly states that their religion only believes in one God, but when I went to their Mosque they were very friendly and didn't try to convert me at all. In fact they praised me for being there and invited me back to another event.

Cannot boot off external hdd?

I have an acer aspire 5336. The oem harddrive is destroyed but I have an external USB hdd. I have a windows xp install cd and have successfully installed xp on my external hdd but when it boots it shows the windows starting screen for about 3 seconds then blue screens stop:0x0000007B (0xF78A2528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). I was reading on some forums about this and found out it was caused by window reinitializing all USB devices so it crashes. Ok first off the pup was taken from mom and litter mates to early. That is the first thing working against you. You are going to have biting because normally if the pup stayed with the litter and he bit his litter mates to hard the pups would either bite back or yelp and stop playing. If he bit mom to hard she would put her mouth around his neck and pin him to the ground to tell him she has had enough. So you tapping the dog in the nose is not communicating that you mean enough. You are actually doing the opposite and enticing him to play. Dont tap or hitthe dog he is a puppy not human so it does not have the same meaning to him as it does to us. You should only give him a sharp no. As far as walking a.9 week old puppy he is way to young to umderstand heel. Right now he should just be getting used to walking on a leash period. The come command should only be used for fun right now and never scold him only praise him no matter what if he comes. If he did do something wrong use an entirely different word like get over here or something like that. The sit command at his age should be just that. It does not matter if he gets up the point is he sat and he gets rewarded. Dogs only know black and white. Always use hand signals for each command. Pups of that age should only be learning one command at a time and training sessions should be no longer than 15 minutes. Once he has sit down pat you can move to the next command. The next command should be stay to follow with others.
